Quick Fix

So many things hold us from us
Cage us from us
And bind us to our faults

So many diversions are created in our heads
Just so we can listen to reason and loose our defence
So we can let the demons in and dine as friends

We have to give us time to heal
So we can remember the feeling of being real
Alive and at peace
Let us be our own fix

We have to take time to heal
We need us desperately to live
Time doesn't heal us
But it is most essential to our healing
